ILA Berlin – Pioneering Aerospace 2026 provided an important platform for strengthening collaboration between India and Berlin in the fields of aerospace, space technology, and innovation. Through a series of engagements, the Berlin Business Office India facilitated meaningful interactions that brought together industry leaders, government representatives, and innovation stakeholders from both regions. Amrita Gandikota, Chief Representative of the Berlin Business Office visited ILA Berlin to strengthen connections between India and Berlin for the aerospace and defence sector.
One of the key highlights was a reception hosted at the Embassy of India in Berlin, where the Berlin Business Office India invited the Indian delegation attending ILA Berlin. The reception served as an opportunity to deepen Indo-German collaboration in the aerospace and defense sectors, encouraging dialogue, networking, and the exploration of future partnerships.
Another significant milestone was the launch of the Indian Pavilion at the Berlin Brandenburg Aerospace Alliance (BBAA) booth. The pavilion was inaugurated by His Excellency Mr. Ajit Gupte, Ambassador of India to Germany, together with representatives from Berlin Partner for Business and Technology and the Senate Department for Economic Affairs, Energy and Public Enterprises. The inauguration highlighted the growing importance of India–Berlin cooperation and showcased India's expanding capabilities in aerospace and space technologies.
The event also featured Space Connect: EU India Space Network, an initiative by SPACE Berlin International that provided Indian companies with the opportunity to present their innovations to an international audience at ILA Berlin. Beyond pitching their technologies, participating companies gained first-hand insights into Berlin's dynamic space ecosystem, connecting with local stakeholders and exploring opportunities for collaboration within one of Europe's leading innovation hubs.
Through these engagements, ILA Berlin 2026 reinforced the strong and growing relationship between India and Berlin in aerospace, defense, and space technologies. By creating platforms for dialogue, innovation, and business exchange, the Berlin Business Office India continues to support partnerships that drive technological advancement and strengthen ties between the two innovation ecosystems.
